Wal-Mart bans most popular Green Day CD ’21st Century Breakdown’

If your kids (or maybe you) are into Green Day, don’t bother looking for 21st Century Breakdown on your next Wal-Mart run. Wal-Mart has a long-standing policy to not stock any CD with a parental advisory sticker.

It doesn’t seem to be hurting Green Day’s latest album, which features bad language and adult themes. 21st Century Breakdown is the best selling album in the country. They weren’t able to sell American Idiot at Wal-Mart either.

Wal-Mart likes to stick to its family friendly image, which apparently does not include selling music with explicit lyrics. They will, however, carry special edited versions of those same albums in their stores.
