Master of The Mix Auditions Quick Recap – ATL

So…yesterday was Atlanta’s audition day for Master of The Mix Season 2! For those new to Master of The Mix, it is a competitive, reality show for DJs working towards winning $250K on BET and Centric Networks.

Sheena helped out with the Smirnoff cocktails

It took place at 7 Stages in Little 5 Points. Although, Atlanta has a variety of other super-dope DJs, all of them didn’t make it out. Some of the big name turntable rockers did fall through. It had to be a little intimidating for some driving in from sister states and sitting right across from that DJ they hear on the radio everyday wearing a number on his/her chest too. Hotlanta brought the heat though (figuratively & literally). Temperatures were dancing around the upper 90’s and kissing 100 degrees. From DJ Nabs to DJ Sense and everywhere in-between, they sat and waited American Idol style. Smirnoff is associated with the show and had a crazy audition setup in the auditorium. Kid Capri arrived to share a couple words with the attendees and finish with “IF I HEAR YOUR SONG PLAYING FOR 20 SECONDS, IT’S A WRAP!” Then he disappeared in the auditorium.

It was fun watching some of the 2min auditions and heart-breaking to watch others. The excitement was seeing the ones that passed on to the next round. I was happy to meet

DJ Camille

DJ Camille as one of the females going on to the next round. #girlpower DJ Camille and a couple others shared their experience of the audition through online. Click on their pics to read and go to Master of The Mix on Facebook to keep up with it until it airs in November. Then, we’ll see who will not “get their record scratched.”

DJ Nabs ( SoSo Def | Tom Joyner's Fantastic Voyage)
DJ Majestik
DJ Doc
DJ Ant Love (The Monique Show)

Let’s see who it’ll be this year:

  1. Hey! I understand this is sort of off-topic but I had to ask.
Does managing a well-established blog like yours require a lot of work?
I’m completely new to running a blog but I do write in my diary on a daily basis. I’d like to start a blog so I can share my experience and views
online. Please let me know if you have any kind of suggestions or tips for
    new aspiring bloggers. Appreciate it!
